Mid City Installs New Vingcard RFID Electronic Security Guestroom Locks
The Mid City is the first and only hotel in regional Victoria to install the next generation
Vingcard RFID hotel electronic door locks. Apart from the security features and ease of
use, guests will soon be able to receive a key code via their NFC enabled mobile phones.

Cheap Phone Rates Now Available
Following recent upgrade to hotel PABX from analogue to  ISDN, guests can now take
advantage of cheaper phone rates to land and mobile phones. With the installation of new
Ericsson digital display phones in all rooms, guests can experience added features such
as indial number, wake up call, radio, hands free not to mention a crispier sound quality found
only in a few select hotels. 

Ballarat Mid City Introduces Online Internet Booking System
For the convenience of our guests, the Ballarat Mid City has introduced
roomMaster.net online reservations.  RoomMaster.net is a "real-time" Internet
reservation system that fully integrates with our reservation system at the front desk.
What this means is that all reservations or bookings go directly into our reservation
system directly. This website share the same inventory as our reservation system. 
No more risks of being "walked" or sent to another hotel as a result of over booking
when hotel inventory are not regularly updated or maintained due to the large number
of third party websites hoteliers now have to manage. Reservations can also be checked
or cancelled in real time 24 hours a day.

Book Now Pay Later.  Unlike most third party booking engines available on the internet
today which require upfront payment using credit cards, guests using our online
reservation can pay upon checkout using either their credit card, eftpos, cash or debtor
account for our corporate guests.
No more booking fees. Cancellation fees will however be waived if contact is made at
least 24 hours prior to checking in.

Lowest Rate Guaranteed. Reservations booked through our online reservation system
are guaranteed to be the lowest rate you can find on the internet. If there is a lower
rate available for the same dates, you must contact us within 24 hours of booking your
reservation. After verifying the lower rate, we will, at our choice, either match the lower
rate or cancel the reservation without a cancellation fee.

Australia Dollar (AUD) of Qualifying Spend, Members will receive 3 Points. All members
must produce their Qantas Frequent Flyer Card when checking in or out in order to be eligible.
Members will be ineligible to participate in this program if they do not produce their card upon
checking in or out.  Members are also ineligible if the rate charged for eligible service is a
special rate offered to airline crew, airline employees, travel agency or hotel employees, an

Ballarat Mid City Installs New DAIKIN Air Conditioning Units
The Mid City has completed installing new individual climate control units in all its 71 guest
rooms.  Guests will now be able to control the temperature in their rooms to suit their own
comfort level. This is part of the Mid City's on going initiatives to enhance our guests'
experience.

Wireless High Speed Broadband Internet Access at the Ballarat Mid City
Guests will now be able enjoy high speed internet access in the comfort of their rooms
following the installation of business grade high speed ADSL broadband internet service at
the Mid City. Our corporate guests can connect into their office networks easily using
their VPN.
